Can anyone please help me work out income tax

My husband started working in Oct last year, previous to that he was getting Carers allowance from Apr -oct so total income from Carers was £1800, his wage from oct-April 2014 will be 10000 so total income for 2013-2014 will be 18000, what tax would he pay on this thanks.

18000 - 9440 (personal allowance) = 8560 x 20% = 17120

Sorry I meant his income will be 11800 and his tax code is 9500

x 20% = 4600 -
