Cheaper to work from home or office?

-
My initial question was if it was cheaper to work from home, as suggested I should a do meter reading to be sure.
I am salaried, so whether I work more or less hours each day I guess is irrelevant.
However yes I do get an hour and a half of my day back from not travelling, and more for not getting ready and organised for work in the mornings! And I am studying currently so for me that is time I can spend very much more wisely than sitting in the car!
Also looking for better paid job.....

OP - obviously compare the meter readings to one you take when you are not working from home. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Gives you a rough cost, so 2.5p for each time you boil a kettle, about 7p per hour of running your computer
Unless you have some exceptionally expensive tastes in tea or like your house heated to 40C then you are unlikely to exceed the cost of commuting.
Of cause you have to also consideration the "business" considerations, out of sight out of mind etc0
