Santander "scrip" (?) dividend - Totally confused

It must be about this time 2 years ago that I opted to take my Santander dividends as new shares rather than as a troublesome foreign dividend, and anyway in the end there will be some bank left standing and profitable. Well the shares cost me nothing having been created by Abbey and Alliance& Leicester demutualisations.
So I have found this thread from last year
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4388833
and now I am totally confused.
Here are the facts:
SHARES:
Dates:register:transaction:newshares:rightssold (< 1 share)
12apr12 : 10may12 : 5 : £1.97
12jul12 : 09aug12 : 4 : £0.90
16oct12 : 12nov12 : 3 : £3.24
14jan13 : 09feb13 : 3 : £2.78
Totals
> :15: £8.89
Can anyone explain what goes where on the on-line SA system ?

If you look on the Santander website there is a section for foreign investors subdivided by nationality, look in UK.
When these were dividends the Spanish witholding tax was greater than uk tax, so although they should have been entered (if less than £300 in uk dividends) there would have been no extra tax. Now there is no income to declare. However, these shares are accountable for under capital gains, if the limits are exceeded. The only thing that is constant is change.0 -
So it looks like I don't need to mention it on the return; I don't have any other capital "disposals" for year 12/13 and al the "dividends" were in the form of rights issue/scrip options (not sure I know the exact technical term).0
