Nationwide Building Society blues

I need to speak with someone at Nationwide regarding my mortgage. I'm away working in another country, my father cannot find the necessary documents, consequently I do not have the Policy number.

I've called Nationwide, they say they "cannot do anything without a Policy number", I asked if I could give you "my name, address, security questions, shirt off my back etc etc but pleeeease can we discuss my mortgage", they say "sorry, we cannot help you".

I said "can you send me my Policy number", they said, "errr, let me check.
No, not without your policy number"

... arrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!

I'm terribly upset and frustrated about this. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Can anybody advise on a solution that would help me?

Thanks for reading, hope to hear from you
best regards
Alex
