                    Hi All
This is the first Self Assessment tax return I am filing. I have it ready apart from a couple of things I am not sure about.
I am a massage therapist who was mobile for last years assessment. I have been advised to claim 45p per mile.
But I am not too sure about washing my towels, uniform etc. How do I know how much to claim for electricity and powder or is there a flat rate which would include all of this?
Also can I claim for using my home as an office for a few hours a week doing my accounts and keeping my website up to date?
I am worried in case I get it wrong.
Thanks in advance for your help

You may claim any expense which is wholly and exclusively incurred in earning your income.
It's 45p for the first 10,000 miles then 25p this may not be the best option for you, depends on your total and business mileage.
 Use of home £4pw £208.
Washing see separate thread on this board.
All the other items you mentioned are OKThe only thing that is constant is change.0
