bad debt options

was hoping for some advice i built up card debts of 20k+ lost job and place i was living so moved abroad(ran away as only option i thought i had)came back to uk last year and debts are at 6 years limits next year i have never recived any letters or acknowledged reciving any letters when the 6 years are up am i in theory debt free or does it not apply as i ran away and hid ? i would be happy for any feed back plz

In theory I would have thought so but you should get proper legal advice. Plus it won't stop companies still chasing you or selling on debt in the off chance you back down.mortgage free by christmas 2014 owed £5,000, jan 2014 £4,170, £4,060, feb £3,818 march £3,399 30% of the way there woohoo
