I bought one just a few months ago from Aldi, but yesterday it died

Does anyine have one that they'd recommend as I'd gotten rather attached to it and would like to replace it.

Did it come with any form of 'Guarantee', Raksha? Have you spoken to the Manager at the shop where you bought it? I'd have expected it to have lasted much longer than 'a few months' :eek.

Would you consider going with a 'hobtop' version instead of an electric version?

Been using my Prestige Hi-Dome (on top of a gas hob) for around 8yrs with no problems at all. My 'other one' is a 'Magefesa' which was found abandoned in an empty house. My son recognised what it was and brought it home for ME.

Assuming that I've got a 'working hob', a stove-top Pressure Cooker is the one gadget that I'd always want to replace. I'd never be without either of them.

Hob top is not an option I'm afraid. The electric version was ideal as it didn't need supervision. My health means I'm not always as 'on the ball' as I should be to control the temp.

Sorry to hear about your health issues - I didn't realise that .

Hopefully somebody else will 'pop along' soon with more experience of Electric Pressure Cookers .

Aldi's electrical stuff usually has a three year guarantee.

Do you still have the receipt?

No I don't believe I do, however I have been in email contact with them since I purchased it as I managed to scald myself the first time I used it, despite the fact that the instruction booklt saying it was suitable for use by a child aged over 8 with supervision
