Lowell Portfolio 1 Ltd

So I signed up for Experian Credit Expert today to check in on my credit file and all looks fine, except under 'Previous Searches' it lists Lowell Portfolio 1 Ltd having searched all of my previous addresses (and the current one at the time) on 28 May 2013.
Background info, I went BR in Spring 2010, discharged a year later and I cleaned up my credit file over the next few months following discharged.
Should I worry about these Lowell Portfolio 1 Ltd searches? I did a search and found some threads about Lowell, but they seemed to be more about Lowell making people bankrupt and stuff, etc but one post about searches, someone suggested they could have just searched the persons file in the hopes of finding something? Are they allowed to search my credit file without my permission?
I found a template to write to them. Is it worth sending or will that stir up a hornets nest?
Sorry, should add that there is no reference to LOWELL PORTFOLIO I LTD on any of the financial info on my credit report so not aware of them having bought any debt.

Lowell, would be making debt collection searches which only show to you. May be that they have bought one of your old debts, but haven't updated your report yet or could just be a mistake.
Either way, unless you hear from them, or something else goes on your report I think I would just ignore as random noise. It doesn't affect you in any way as it stands.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Okay, hopefully the fact that its a search from 8 months ago and not is showing on my credit file (in terms of taking over debt one of my old debts) means that it was an error or fishing expedition that proved fruitless.Lowell, would be making debt collection searches which only show to you. Had a few similar on mine after BR, and nothing came of it.
Even if it did, it is sortable.

I had a similar problem with these guys only it has escalated....
The first did a search on my credit file early last year but I heard nothing more. They searched again in November 2013 and I got a letter a few days later claiming I was due them money against an unpaid debt. We were in the middle of a mortgage application at the time so I immediately phoned them. To cut a long story short, these guys are unprofessional and make mistakes all over the place however their actions can have a serious impact on your credit file.
Turns out they had placed a default on my file in March 2012 (no communication received) for a debt that had been paid of in full. We are now seeking compensation via the Financial Ombudman due to their error as this cost us our mortgage (weeks later we are still trying to get a mortgage deal sorted!). These debt collection agencies need to be regulated - they are truly awful in the way they operate. At one point I was accused of fraudulently doctoring bank statements! Anway, just a word or warning - to have searched your credit file they must think they have something relating to you & it could bite you on the bum later!0
