hi my step father has naively submitted his SA on to a fee charging site. He thought it was the HMRC and submitted the information he had to, and was charged £400 for it, he thought this was his tax payment. This site is extremely similar to the HMRC .GOV one and seems to prey on people less knowledgeable. Does anyone know if we can recoup the money back or anyone else who has had the misfortune to of done the same thing?
Thank you in advance

Daily/Sunday mail have run articles over last few weeks regarding copycat Euro health card / passport/ driving licence/ tax return sites.
The general view appears to be yes it is not moral, but the web sites do disclose the fact that they are middle men, if you look hard enough, so no action is possible.
