Why is it that the majority of the puzzles comps require all your details, address etc yet there are a few that still take you to the old entry pages where you don't need to put all your contact info in?
Quote from Bauer as posted a few weeks ago: "From the latest competition we are changing the way you enter and you will no longer need to login to submit your answers, just simply enter your details at the top of the coupon. If you are submitting answers to older competitions you will still need to sign in"
This is all related to the new Data Processing rules which come into effect shortly.0 -

Message on the TAB website:
From the latest competition (magazines on sale from 29th March 2018 onwards) we are changing the way you enter and you will no longer need to login to submit your answers, just simply enter your details at the top of the coupon. If you are submitting answers to older competitions you will still need to sign in.
Some other sites that used to require logging in have also changed to require full data on the entry form and I expect a few more will follow suit. I strongly suspect that this will make it easier for companies when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force in May, as they do not have to store personal details beyond the end of the competition, and encrypted passwords will no longer be required. The consequences of a data breach are thus much less serious for the company.0 -
Thank you both for clarifying!0
