Hi Guys

Need some recommendations for a smallish party I want to hold. probably about 40 people, looking for a hall or a function room that can hold this many people and has a dancefloor and a bar. Does anyone have any recommendations for something like this at a reasonable price?

Cheers
Richard

    Hi
The King's Manor Hotel, Milton Road East, has a decent sized room - East Edinburgh....

If you know anyone who is a postie, there's the Post Office Club in Restalrig....

The Pitz - 5 asides football pitches, Portobello has a smaller venue.

Also, if you have connections with British Legion Clubs, they are cheap - you could possibly phone them anyway.

Hibernian Footclub Club hire out a function suite; don't know if you have to be a Hibs fan.

    Good luck.

I went to a birthday party recently at The Royal Musselburgh Golf Club, Prestongrange House, EH32 9RP.
Nicest people you could ask for, bar staff couldn't do enough to help. Looks good on invites too! Maybe a bit far out of town for some tho'.
  • can anyone reccomend a venue in edinburgh for a ceilidh for over 150 people, preferably in the city centre? it's for a fundraiser for edinburgh sick kids hospital. we've previously used the three sisters hotel but its too wee now as the numbers attending has grown every year. thanks in advance for any help.x

  • try inverleith rugby club, just off ferry road nr the botanics, ideal venue for that many people and drink is not too expensive either, will be cheap to hire. My hubby used to play for the club and we have used it for many a party and social function

  • The Voodoo Rooms also have a smaller venue which might suit the op.

Do you know anyone who is a member at Bainfield Bowling Club? They have a gorgeous suite downstairs and a massive dance floor. The bar is seperate and you can have the food in there.
