Also the two others in the series are going cheap at the following :-

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Edition) - £9.38 inc postage from Amazon Jersey,

The Lord Of The Rings: Two Towers (Extended Edition) - £10.99 from CDWow (managed £9.49 using voucher),

I need to get the extended edition of The Two Towers again, a friend of mine borrowed my wife's copy then lost it. Thing is though, we have the U.K. editions of the other two, is the one CD-Wow are selling the proper U.K. version? Is there any way of telling?

I don't want to end up with some European version of it that won't match the other two boxes. Still, since I can probably get it down to about £8 with links + vouchers, it might be worth the risk I suppose, could always sell it on....

Are the Extended Editions worth getting ? Do the extra scenes make much difference to the film ?

Don't get me started - I could talk for England about how good the extended editions are :D

It's actually the appendices that make these a must have - you will gain such an understanding of how the films were made and why no film has ever seen such beyond the call of duty commitment to "getting it right" from cast and crew.

    Yeah, they're pretty good ;)

If you buy the region2 version from cdwow then you will get the UK edition, mine came yesterday from hong kong - took 3 working days to deliver.

still waiting for the other 2 rom amazon jersey, which are due tomorrow (subject to royal mail)
  • Hi

I run a web shop for my church's children's work where we get a percentage if you buy from Amazon having gone through our shop.

If you would be willing to help out, please PM me and I'll send you the link

    Thanks very much

Who cares? Its the end result that matters and in the case of LOTR, its sadly overrated
Just because you used to be you think everybody else is, don't you?
