HSBC wants to interview me but no slots!

About an hour ago, I got an e-mail to check my messages on my HSBC recruitment account.
The message said I passed the online verbal reasoning test - grade A!:D and then asked me to book an interview with them using their online scheduling centre. Like the idea as candidates can book times which don't affect their current work shifts
There are no interview time slots available! It does state on the website, please check regularly! How often would you try and what is the maximum number of days passed would you give up?
Really want to go for this as it's paying 17% more than my wage at the moment (the basic) plus bonuses!

Why would you give up? Isn't there a number you can contact to explain that you have been asked to book an interview but that there are no slots available?
I would be checking every hour or so but that's just me!

Its recruitment by numbers, youve sat a test which has a pass mark therefore everyone who passes gets invited to the next round rather than just the top X number of people.
Consequentially, if too many people pass the test then there wont be enough people to do interviews and they are unlikely to hire new interviewers or pull people out of their day job just to deal with a spike of recruits passing the test when there is still a set Y vacancies.
Just keep checking, how often depends on how much you want the job0 -
Bank call centre roles tend to just be a number of sifts. If you pass you move on, they don't limit the number of passes. Same for phone interview. Passing the face interview might only secure you a place on a waiting list.0

Often telephone interviews are often slightly more sophisticated in that there is a Pass, Maybe and No. They dont cap the Passes but if the numbers are too low they will pull in some from the Maybe's to make up the numbers.0 -
Thanks everyone.
Able to book a telephone interview on Tuesday. Only one which messes up my work shift the least - the other two that day were late in the afternoon and Wednesday - they were right in the middle of my shift.
Just need to start work earlier by 20-30 mins for two days. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
