What to wear for March wedding?

Going to a wedding on 1st March in Ireland, any suggestions on what to wear? Will probably be cold, so will need to be warm yet stylish?

My sister had an early March wedding in Cornwall and it was pretty chilly, so I'd say tights and some kind of wrap/nice jacket are your friends! Or you could go for a dress with sleeves; there are still quite a few nice ones around.

Are you buying something new or updating what you have? What's your budget?

I'd wear whatever you normally wear to a wedding, but add a faux fur shrug and wear thicker tights. If it's particularly chilly you could wear thermals under your outfit too.

My mum is getting married at the beginning of March and I am wearing a short silky dress with the thickest black tights I can find! I've also got a faux fur short jacket but it's all in one place so I'm hoping there won't be too much hanging around outside. It has been difficult though as there's not much about in the way of dresses at this time of year and I didn't want to wear a wintery dark colour.

I'd definitely have a plan A and B - I got married 23rd March 2013, and in 2012 that date was high teens and bright sunshine, in 2013 it snowed...i loved it but my point is the unpredictability!!
