Wellies salvage please!

Options
Dh left his muddy wellies outside, and they were promptly forgotten for 18 months :o now they're moldy looking inside, quite badly. Can they be saved, and if so, how?

  • You can take money saving a bit too far. If it was me, I'd just bin them, as wouldn't want to put my tootsies in them.
If you really want to try, have a look at the link for various methods of treatment for mold.

  • Plant some bulbs in them and but some new ones, or use an old pair of shoes. (If he's not needed them in 18 months he's not a regular welly- wearer so can make do withought!)
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

Getting any mold treatment right into the foot area won't be at all easy; and you need to be sure it's all gone, or I'd have thought there's a risk of getting something nasty happening to his feet when he wears them, like a fungal problem, or something like that.:(

I'd honestly ditch them and get some new ones, and make him promise to clean them promptly and put them away in future.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • They'd still get left for me to do lol. I'll keep an eye out for them in the sales
