Official Receiver Interview

I am waiting for my Official Reciever Interview (by telephone) and am really scared about it. What sort of checks or searches do they do...? I have no property or assets other than a small amount of cash that I told them about. I am concerned because I used a mailing address (both for my creditors and bankruptcy) can I get into trouble for this? They know am do not have a fixed address at the moment. I'm confused and don't know what to expect....

Tinks, I don't know if this is at all helpful, but all my creditors still think I am at my previous address. I called the National Debt Helpline for advice and they said just let them keep thinking that, don't contact them or they will just hound you into the ground and there is nothing you can offer them so will just stress you out. I was literally and technically homeless for most of last year and now have somewhere to stay, but it's not offical (ie the landlord hasn't got planning permission from the council still, so whilst it is rented to us as a residential/business unit, offically we're not meant to be living here, but literally have no-where else to go as the only family we have is a married sister with brand newborn twins and absolutely no room and a brother suffering from Cancer in a rented student dive the other end of the country, with a business presence to maintain in London). Therefore, technically we're still homeless. They said I could put this place down as my BR address as it makes it easier for correspondence and things (the old place I was living friends still live in, but they are really pants at sending my mail (through laziness not nastiness) so I probably wouldn't get any mail for months if it didn't come here from the OR. At the end of the day, my situation is anything but straightforward, but the phone line people seemed to have heard it all before and I'm bowing to their far greater experience on the matter. If the OR queries anything I guess I just will be totally honest and hope that it doesn't get me in more trouble, but at the end of the day, not having a fixed address seems like a pretty good reason for keeping an address at one place - if you have to keep moving things get lost so you'll never get the mail. If you're still panicing about your personal situation, just call one of the helplines and talk to them, it really does help I promise. Good luck, you've done one hard part (the actual going to court) so nearly over now And Addo - stay away from the fig rolls, they're turning you slightly loopy :P
