Nervous wait - I might have won something at last...

Options
...or then again I might not!

When I got home from work yesterday there was a 'missed delivery' card from a courier on my door mat - I haven't ordered anything online recently so I'm desperately hoping it's my first ever competition win.

I've arranged for the whatever-it-is to be redelivered to my workplace tomorrow (with grateful thanks to the department receptionist who has offered to take it in for me :T) so now all I can do is wait, and bite my nails, and hope!

Does anyone else get this excited / nervous, or is it something that wears off once you've had a few wins?

Nope, never wears off! I think it's what keeps me entering tbh, I like the excitement you get every time the post man comes or a delivery van pulls up on the street!

Sounds like you have had a win if you haven't ordered anything! I hope it's a nice big prize for you :j Let us know what it is, I'm nosey:D ! xx

It hasn't worn off for me but then I'm a relatively new comper - I've only been at it about 1.5/2 years :rotfl:

Fingers crossed for you, I really hope it's a win :T

I had a red card a few weeks ago, was sooo excited. Had to wait til the Monday to get it. While walking to the sorting office, I was thinking what if its an iPad, or something exciting,

The postman went to his safe *oooo def something exciting I thought*
Got out an white envelope *ok so not an iPad.......ok so it's a take a break win, some vouchers surely, maybe it's huge!!!

Grabbed the envelope, got outside and ripped it open,

And it was only my flaming P45 and letter from my workplace I had just left

    I was fuming!

Moral of the story, don't get too hyped only to be let down (badly!!)

Ooooh, I had a missed delivery card today too! Let's hope we've both won...
But mine will probably be a laptop charger that the ebay seller decided to send as signed for just to be annoying!

Hope it's a lovely win for you.

Compers never lose the thrill of winning. I'm happy and grateful for every prize.

It's always a buzz when you see the delivery van pull up.

Not too great when they bring a huge parcel to your door and then say... could you take this in for next door please

Ours normally say 'packet / parcel' if Royal Mail... If courier, though, you're right it's not always obvious, although I've rarely had letters sent via courier.

    Fingers crossed, CCP :j

Thanks all for your comments, and particularly clairehas - I thought of your post when my cat woke me up in the early hours of this morning and I started wondering again about my parcel, and it stopped me getting so excited I couldn't get back to sleep!

I've just been looking at the courier's website and it's definitely not a letter, as the parcel information says it weighs 15kg. I've been trying to think what heavy things I've entered to win - maybe a case of wine?

I'll let you know when it gets here!
Back after a very long break!
