Put cooled meat mix into a pie dish and then roll out the pastry. Brush the pie dish edge with some milk and then top with pastry.
If you are going to use the frozen pastry, you will need to cook before re-freezing.
Or you can keep it in the fridge and brush with milk before cooking. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

thanks for that could i do pastys in the same way?(probably more economical than 1 big pie ) and i could stick some potatoes in with mixture. also if i coook and then freeze pie/pastys can i then defrost and reheat safely?0

Yes, just rollout the pastry and cut around a plate for the size, put a spoonful of mix in the centre of each circle and then brush round the pastry edge with milk and take an edge from opposite sides and pinch, continuing each side to form the seam. Brush with milk and bake.

can i freeze it after being baked? and then can i reheat from frozen or do they need to defrost overnight?0

Yes, provided you cook the pre-frozen pastry, it should be fine. I do this all the time (made salmon encroute with my last batch of frozen pastry - we had two and froze two after cooking).
Personally I would defrost first so the pastry isn't overcooked. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
