I've just started following the competitions..

I have a twitter account but only a few followers - does that make a difference when entering the Twitter comps?

I have won things on Twitter, when I had virtually no followers and didn't post very often, so I think it often doesn't matter.

However, if you want to get yourself more followers, there is a thread here of other MSE users to follow and they will follow you back:
