  • Absolutely excellent!! I've just earned 500 extra points for doing zip all.

If you don't want to pay for calling, ring freephone 0800 505 555 - this will put you through to Tesco Customer Services HQ. Just ask to be put through to Tesco Car Insurance - the rest is plain sailing.

I went into the back of someone the other week - the girl had only been driving 3 weeks and she went to go at a roundabout and then just stopped for no reason. There was no visual damage to either car but she couldn't get her boot open - hence she has insurance with Tesco and she claiming - would this affect the quote?

Not sure why "hence she has insurance with Tesco" but if you ran into the back of her car, surely the insurance claim will be against you - unless she was silly enough to say it was her fault.

Any way, the incident would have the same effect on a quote from any insurer, Tesco or another.

Thanks for the tip  Just rang tesco freephone, they wouldn't put me through, so phoned the main number, they told me go on line as they were inundated and not giving quotes unless you needed to have new insurance within the next month, (so I guess I should have not told the truth that my insurance doesn't end for 6 months) went on line but couldn't find any info of 500 points, just 15% if purchased the insurance. Oh to be experienced at this! will keep trying other ideas though, bound to get the hang of it soon I hope :j

They won't give a quote for more than 30 days away because it would not be valid after that.
