Mortgage with Chelsea query - fixed rate

Hi
I'm in the process of applying for a mortgage with Chelsea, which I applied for at the end of November.
I've applied for the first time buyer rate of 3.49% which was advertised as being fixed until 31.12.15 at the time.
The mortgage application is still going through (valuation survey scheduled for tomorrow).
In the meantime, Chelsea have updated their fixed rate period to last until 31.3.16 on their website.
My query is, am i eligible for the revised fixed rate period (until 31.3.16)? Or is it locked in as soon as you apply?
thanks

You'd need to speak to them I'd imagine0

yes, I was just wondering if anybody had any previous experience with this type of thing0

You applied for the product that ended on 31/12/15. That is the one you should get.
It will be clarified in the mortgage offer when it comes out.
I you want the other one, call them and ask if you can change product, I suspect they would charge a fee to change, but you never know.I am a Mortgage Adviser
