Harveys sofas

Has anyone got any experience of their sofas, good and bad?

We are in need of a sofa but on looking online it is mostly all bad reviews but on the other hand a relative has had her sofa 5 years and its still going strong.

Got a lovely leather suite from them. Its only a Year old so its too early for me to judge how long it will last.

Didn't have any issues when calling them out to re-align the recliner on the chair when it was sticking. A repairman turned up within 48 Hours and fixed it for me.

I was happy with the service and kudos to the salesman who found my Sons hearing aid in the store.

Not got any complaints about them to date, but I have not tested the fire retardant foam yet, since they were mentioned in BBC's Fake Britain. ;)

We bought our leather corner sofa (it's called Sphere) delivered in August 2012 for 1k including head rests 2 years interest free credit. It's still in perfect condition, apart from now it's clearly been sat on alot, but the leather is actually still really tight and they gave us a leather cleaning kit with insurance we took out, although we haven't needed to use to insurance. No problems here!

Harveys was on Fake Britain on Monday regarding sofas that did not met fire regulations. I only watched some of it but you may wish to watch it here.

To be fair regarding fake britain, I am not too bothered as I don't intend to set fire to my sofa. If my house did go up in flames I wouldn't expect the sofa to survive anyway.

Fire retardant material in my opinion is only useful to people who smoke indoors etc.

We bought the same and had it delivered October 2012. We bought the corner sofa and single chair and both still look like new. and that is with a 2 year old dog jumping all over it too!

I couldn't recommend it enough, everyone comments on how nice and comfortable it is! I'm not sure how much it is now but we brought it for £549 x

I was a bit worried as the sides are PVC not leather and I heard they crack and peel?
