Right I am going to do a diary to motivate me to get rid of my debt! Have upped my money this month by doing some over time and selling my old phone - yay, so thats £100 extra this month. Have decided to put it in my savings account.
I have roughly £1500 on my o/d and £2100 on CC. 0% Interest on card at the mo. My plan is to get rid of my debts then start on husbands which is roughly the same.
Going to try and get something else on ebay in the next couple of weeks, possibly a baby moniter and will persuade hubby to get his old phone on.
Living rather frugally but my daughter is 1 in a few wks and I have kept some of my 6 year old daughters old toys which are like new and am planning on setting up a bouncy horse rocker for her birtday. Liturally because she won't know any different and if I can be frugal and save pennies why not? She will be spoilt rotten by family and friends I might add.
Hopefully going to put £60.00 down towards the CC. If I can just get it down to less than 2k I wll be happy.
That's it for now - lets kick that debt in the butt!

Hello dearest diary. Well toying with the idea of going for a saturday job. I do 29 hours spread over Monday through to Thursday with fri, sat, sun off. My weekend is family time but for the short term I could use the exta cash tp help pay off the debts. Anyway I have seen a position and I will apply to see what happens and if I did get it will do it purly to pay debt and save for a car.
Which brings me on to something else we have been given a car! Can not believe it! I was thinking about getting finance to get a car butvthought no way how stupid am I, save for one instead. Family are giving us one, it is old 2004 but only 36000 miles so v.pleased. The plan is to save for the next car after this. I am nervy though as have not driven for 7 years. Going to go out with a few drivers for practice sessions first.
Bad news work wise in current job as consultation starts today so will have to see what is happening. Have worked since I was 16, I am 37 now and have never claimed JSA. The thought terrifies me but it's all out of my control, onwards and upwards as they say:D0 -
Good news is I have a job still but it will be different. I am thankful that I have a job at least for the next year anyhow.
Have put another item on ebay as free listing weekend , my baby monitor. If I get anything for this I shall be grateful.
I want to get an embroidery circle as have an embroidery kit to do 4 christmas cards. But then I think that's me frittering away money AGAIN! So I shall see , do I have the time really? No do I heck.
I have decided not to go for the Saturday job I was thinking of, as I know the position of the job I am in now and I think there will be a fair amount of overtime.
I want to be there for my family rather than living to work.
One of my resolutions was to enter competitions, at least 10 a day and so far I have won a givaway Robotslayer book, which I will stash for my nephews birthday, a cushella koala which I will give to dd 2 for her birthday and regae, regea cooking sauce which I will use.0 -
I'm so jealous of your competition success, I always make the same resolution but get bored when I'm not winning stuff
I think you're probably right not doing the Saturday job, being debt free is a worthy cause but your family comes first!Save0 -
You're quite right madhatter90 family should come first, I really need to remember that at times, my kids are only young once and I don't want to miss out if I can help it.
As for the competitions I really do enter alot but I am addicted to winning. It's nice to dream of what could be and it really helps on b'day prezzies etc.:)0 -

Paid £60.00 towards my credit card bill today. When I heard the balance £2100 I felt a bit deflated but I am heading in the right direction by not spending on it again!
Hubby soldvhis phone on ebay and got more for it than I did for mine. I have a baby monitor on ebay with a bid so at least I have sold it. It ends in a few days so hopefully I get a fiver for it.
Working overtime again this week, so looking forward to the exta pennies.
However I have had to buy dd some ballet tights and I have my other dd's birthday coming up. Some things are essential buys.
Good progress so far on getting extra money. Not sure what to sell next. I do want to sell my wedding dress but don't want to get hardly anything for it as it is sentimenyal. I would rather keep it otherwise. It cost 800 3 years ago so hoping maybe 3 to 400. We shall see.0
