Can anyone tell me what you mean by usb 2/3. Thinking of getting one to free up some storage on the laptop as I have loads of photos on it. Will ot just plug into my laptop like a usb stick?''Aim for the moon, because if you miss you will still land amongst the stars''0

usb 3 is backward compatible but to get speeds of usb3 you need a usb peripheral and computer that has usb slots. If you get this and have usb2 it should still work not only get usb2 speeds which are a lot slower

If you look at the pictures then it has a USB 3.0 connector
The connector is the same for USB 2.0 and USB 3.0.0 -
the computer end is the same but on mine (at least) the drive end is different0
