There have been other threads about free tennis but this site is a little different in that they offer free tennis all year round!!

I think if we get the power of MSE's behind it then there will be more courts for free!!

May be quicker to log onto your local council web-site to find free courts in your area.
None listed in my area which is odd as I have played on a number of free courts near me.
I do like the idea though. We all evolve - get on with it0 -
Yes I forgot to mention the search tool is hard to use...
There don't appear to be any in my area.0 -
Unfortunately none near me but a good post anyway. Many thanks.0

I can't find this on here, sorry if it's been posted before.
Tennis For Free are a charity funded organisation aimed at getting more people to play tennis. On their website it lists all the tennis courts in the country that are now free to play on thanks to TFF. They also run coaching sessions at some sites once a week.
I took the children in January and I was surprised to find I can have coaching too!
Although I played dismally I knew if I crawled away to hide of embarrassment I would never get any better. Well now I've been going a few months and I have improved remarkably, I can even hit the ball sometimes :rotfl:
Please have a look at their website, find some free courts or free coaching, put an hour aside for you to play tennis. (Being a charity, if you can afford a donation to the website - yes that's all you unemployed bankers who are searching this site for money saving now you daren't attend the exclusive club- that would help too.)0 -
Nice idea - rubbish website
No courts listed in Scotland.
Regularly play for free on my local council ones0 -
Nice idea - rubbish website
No courts listed in Scotland.
No matter where you click on the map it comes up with
"We have found no courts in this region. If you are aware of free courts in this region, please go to the Tell Us Where You Play section and fill in the form. "
and the website is messed up.0 -
The website is working for me
Sorry none in Scotland. If you can play for free on your courts already, great.
We would be charged £8 p/h or more for a not so good quality park court down south.0
