There are some adverts on TV at the moment about Smart Swaps Change 4 Life. The government is trying to get people to make smart swaps with food and drink and choosing lower fat/sugar options. As part of an incentive to sign up they're sending a welcome pack which includes coupons and fridge magnets etc. I received my pack today and the coupons are:

25p off Robinsons No Added Sugar
30p off Flora Light
£1 off Cheeky Cow low fat cheese
30p off Uncle Bens Rice Time pot
30p off Green Giant salt free canned sweetcorn
25p off Pepsi Max 600ml

If I'm honest I was hoping for coupons off more basic things like milk, fresh fruit and veg... but it's not bad if you usually buy any of the above in your shopping.

I think they're valid pretty much anywhere that sells these products but I've not yet redeemed any.

There's also a clever iPhone (and possibly Android) app that makes useful meal suggestions and can be used to plan a week's meals.

The really useful thing about doing so is it automatically generates a shopping list for the meals.

Also there's a "keeping kids entertained" app too.
