I've won a Prepaid Barclaycard with £0.00 balance

I had a Prepaid Barclaycard turn up in the post today with no information in it about why I had received it or anything else, just a normal looking card and details of registering the card (with my name and Congratulations on).

I phoned to register the card and the girl I spoke to confirmed it was a corporate type card with no balance on, and money could/would be loaded after activation, so I'm no the wiser what it's all about :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've searched comps and can't see anything similar, does anyone else have this sort of experience and how did it work out?

Oh dear - the company has probably just sent you it in the hope you will load up some credit on it! Sales con me thinks so I would just bin it if I was you!

I'm like 99.9% sure Bluebella is right (sorry) but I have just a teeny hesitation in case the situation is that you need to activate the card before the comp host can load your winning fortune onto it - yeah, I hope for world peace in my lifetime too

But defo don't wanna get your hopes up, cos chances are it's a marketing thing, as I'm sure you probably think too.

There was one in November that was for £20 prepaid B/Cards to spend in a pub or something like that (although they could be spent anywhere).

no it wasn't that one as I won on that, and it was a £20 contactless card, the one that came today is a pre-paid card

A bit old but is visa the same as barclaycrd on these prepaid things?

I did do the Appletiser comp so it could be that, but hadn't received a WEM (but then some of mine go missing anyway :rotfl:) :beer:
