Hi all,
Need to get a basic a/c ASAP as wages due 9 July. However, nat west step & barclays cardcash & nationwide are all old creditors! Does this matter?
Co-Op Cardminder may take too long but have applied anyway.
Any advice? Any one else have them as creditors & been accepted?

If I were you, I'd just go for the Co-op account regardless how long it takes. Banks don't have to grant accounts, & I'm not sure I'd want a creditor that I hadn't been able to pay off my debts to knowing about my current/future finances, even if they were prepared to give me the account. I'd sooner start afresh with someone new.
