Training courses whilst caring for terminally ill daughter

My wife and I care for our 14 year old daughter who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. I am 35 and worked up until my daughter was diagnosed with her illness. I had a good job working in London as a broker but the hours caused problems helping at home and getting my daughter to regular hospital appointments so i lost my job as my mind was elsewhere.

I know when my daughter turns 18 she will want her own motorbility vehicle and DLA payments so my wife and I will have no car and money will drastically drop.

Thinking ahead I need to be ready to go out and get a job but since the age of 21 I have not had a job.

My family are all in the building trade and I would like to train/learn to become a plumber who would i need ask for help?

Would this have any affect on my benefits? we get DLA, Income Support, CTC & CB

I need flexible training because at the drop of a hat my daughter can become ill and i'm in hospital for 2 weeks. Daughter has regular hospital appointments so need days off for them etc etc.

Any advice would be brilliant.

Why will your money drop drastically? Surely the DLA money is spent on your daughter now anyway, are you claiming carers allowance? Can 1 of you possibly get some hours in a supermarket or similar? Some of these jobs are zero hour contracts so might suit you if you can't go to work in the event of an emergency.
