Jan 2014 The day I started to control my life.

As the title says, today I have started to take control again of my life and finances. :j
For the last 2 years I have struggled to keep up with the minimum repayments on my credit card bills
So today I have thrown a sickie at work and got in touch with step change to start my DMP.
The relief I felt after talking to them was unbelievable, I now feel that I can take control again.
Ok so there's along long way to go, 13 years to be exact but hopefully with the help from this site that will just fly by.:rotfl:
I'm married with 3 young cherubs, so hopefully now I will be happy mummy instead of shouty mummy.
If any of you have got any good tips to stay positive whilst the DMP is put in place I would be eternally greatful.
I have opened up a new bank account today so from now on I'm in credit with that, so that has got to be a positive step.
Once I get confirmation of all outstanding balances then I will try and make a ticker so that I can see how much is paid, any tips on how to do that would be great aswell.
So here's to a new start, fingers crossed :TX
