in Loans
Hi moneysavers,
apologies if this question has been asked a thousand times before, but i need some advice,
i have just graduated in medicine and will be starting work as a doctor at the end of july. i have no money and will not be payed till the end of august and need a loan to cover the summer and the first month of my job before i get payed.
i could of course get a summer job, but as this is my last six weeks of freedom after 7 years of study and 6 months of revision i am reluctant to spend it sat behind a desk answering telephones, and would like the opportunity to go on holiday as and when etc...
nationwide has already refused, saying that they cannot loan to people without an income. this is frustrating as i have a guaranteed income but i won't get it till the end of august! is this likely to be a problem for whoever i ask?
what is the best way to borrow ~£1500-2000 for this short period. my starting salary is £30k so i do not think that repaying loans or credit cards will be a problem once i start work, especially as i will be lucky enough to have the luxury of free accommodation and no travel expenses.
i am not particularly reliable with money but i think i could get my head around the egg 'mule' card balance transfer trick if that was the cheapest option, although erring on the side of caution with a flexible rate loan might be safest?
many thanks for your help everyone.

Graduate loan from the big four but you need a job or a letter confirming you are starting one and you can get 3 months payment holiday in the start of your loan.0
