All will be well

Hi Guys,

It seems a lifetime ago that I went BR. It was Dec 2008 in fact. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since those momentous days. I remember it was a haze of worry, maybe embarrassment, indecision and confusion. But I did it. It was probably the best thing I could of done under the circumstances.

Fast forward 5 years and it is a distant memory. It no longer registers in my thoughts. My overwhelming memory though was the satisfaction I got from telling my aggressive creditors that they would be receiving nothing. If I could relive one moment that would of been the " highlight ".

I really couldnt of done it however without the old sages on here, so like an old pupil, I have popped back to my old school to say hi and say to everyone out there who are maybe fretting. It passes! It really does.

Do not hesitate! If it is really the best thing for a new start for you, then do it. Life will get better, you will still feel the rain on your face, the wind at your back. These things will not change. There will be brighter days ahead however dark these days may seem right now.

A final thought from someone who has been there. Your friends and loved ones will understand. Mine no longer remember what happened 5 years ago and if they did, they do not care.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Really helpful. :T
  • Thank you so much for that. I about to embark on this difficult journey and feel massively ill equipped - this board is proving to be a lifeline of information and support (non judgemental). Glad to hear that there is light at the end of the tunnel...

Thank you for that, I recently had my interview with the OR and it was just so humiliating. The OR was really lovely but I just felt like a small child and pretty idiotic too. I just want it all to be over. Felt crappy for the rest of the day after the interview.
