Bought jacket in shop - £20 cheaper online

Options
I bought a jacket in Evans last Friday which I paid £69 for. When I got home I looked at their online site as I wanted a top which they didn't have in my size in the shop.

The jacket I bought is being sold for £49 online as it says it is in the sale. I don't know if it is an online only sale although it doesn't say it is.

I wouldn't be that bothered if it were reduced by a couple of pounds but £20 is quite a lot of money. Would I be able to take the jacket back and get a refund and then buy it online and, if that is possible, would you do it?

Yes I don't see why not unless you have worn it.

I would totally do it. But I have been known to take something back the following week and re-buy it if it's then in the sale.............. yep I'm one of those people.......

No, haven't worn it - it's still got the tags on.

Think I will take it back. I don't really like doing that normally as I never know how a shop will be about taking something back but, as I said, £20 is a lot of money

They dont have to refund it though unless it is doesn't comply with SOGA. Its worth a try but often shops have different prices in store and online and are treated differently
  • OP, I would return it, buy it online cheaper, and more so use a discount code for Evans online!

    Use JAN15 for an additional 15% off a £50 spend! :)

Go through TOPCASHBACK and earn just over 2% cashback with a voucher code, or over 5% without a voucher code!
