hi... i had a phone call today saying a competition that i entered ive won a makeover/photo thingy worth over £500 food and drinks layed on in london think she said studio...
anyway thought id actually won till she said she need a deposit of £44 to secure my place incase i didnt turn up and i would be refunded once i got there so then alarm bells starting ringing but when she said she wanted the payment now to send out my tickets by giving her my bank details i was like no thank u.....
she had my email add which i only give out on these comps but can somebody tell me if it was genuine and if this certain competition was on here. ive entered so many cant quite remember...

If you do not turn up, it would save the prize giver money - so why would they want a deposit? - looks dodgy to me.

thanx.... exactly they wouldnt b losing out if i didnt turn up...
sitting here searching now too c if this comp is on here(which i doubt it is)

I had the same kind of phone call about a month ago. The woman had a dodgy sounding, fake, foreign accent.
I said No thanks, I've changed my mind and hung up.
