Quick question.

I have just bought a coat off ebay.i was very pleased when it arrived the only thing was that there was a smell of perfume on it.despite it saying dry clean only I put it in the washing machine and it washed really well.the coat has a detachable fur coller though which I thought shouldn't go in the machine.this still really smells.does anyone know of a way I can get rid of the smell.
thankyou.

Sprinkle with bicarb of soda, leave overnight and then brush it out? Or use dry shampoo on it if you have that?

Is it real fur or synthetic? If it's real fur, I'd second MrsAtobe's advice, with the addition of hanging it outside - fresh air really does work wonders, especially if it's a little frosty :). As for synthetic, I've washed them before, dried and then when dry, brush with a hairbrush!
