using aol on windows 7 on laptop .....
suddenly changed ....
if i go on Google and search for something .... then get the page with all sorts of links....
if i click on first one ... read it .. but then want to look at second one ... i click the left facing "go bacK" arrow , ... which would normally take me back to my original google search results page ...
but all of a sudden in last few days , it doesn't .... it just re -loads that first link i've just read .
Any ideas ?
thanks

WHich browser?
I get similar sound with last few versions of Firefox, when I go back I get blank screen, hitting refresh solves. It's a known issue that I haven't yet found a cure for.

hit the go back button twice quickly - when you click a link on Google it sometime goes through a dummy google page before getting to the real page - so when you click the back button nothing appears to happen.
Depending on your browser you can see previous pages by either right click the back button or using the little down triangle - you can then select the correct page.0 -
There are many websites which use this dummy processing (link tracker?) technique, which breaks the page history in browsers.
With Chrome if you press and hold the back arrow image you'll get a drop-list of the page history.0
