Salary on 15th of month

Hi,
I will be starting a new job tomorrow (13th) and the first pay day will be on the 15th and every 15th thereafter.
Will I only be paid for 2 days or will it be for the remainder of this month? As I will only be paid up to the 10th (Friday) with my previous employer. I fear I may lose some pay. Has anyone on here got any insight into this?
Thanks.

You will be paid for those days, however most employers have a cut off point.
For example, ours is the 6th of the month to be paid on the 20th. If you joined after the 6th, you wouldn't get paid on the first 20th after joining, but will be paid on the 20th after, and this will include all the days since starting.
Check with your employer re their policy.0 -
Where I worked we were also paid on 15th which was for the whole of the calendar month (1 January - 31 January) 2 weeks in arrears and 2 weeks in advance. If this is the same format as your new company then it is likely you have missed the deadline for this month and wont be paid till 15 February0

Payroll have to get your bank details first and they have probably already submitted the pay for the 15th January already so more than likely you are going to get paid on the 15th February
What you have to realise is that payday on a certain date my be for the whole month.
Ie my pay was on the 25th but it was for 1st to the last day of the month with a cut off on the 15th. Any adjustments like sick days taken after the 15th (cut off) were deducted on the next months pay. We’ve had to remove your signature. Payday used to be on the 18th and it was for the complete month so part in arrears and part in advance.
They wont be paying you this month, almost certainly, so next month on the 14th (as the 15th is a saturday) you will receive 1.5 months pay representing what you worked in Jan, the 2 weeks of Feb so far all in arrears and the remainder of feb in advance0 -
You won't lose any pay, but you will almost certainly have to wait until Feb. What you need to do is ask the new employer how their system works, if they pay on 15th for the whole calendar month then on 15th Feb you should get Feb, plus half January.
If it's going to cause problems, you could ask for an advance to tide you over.Signature removed for peace of mind0
