I found out about this whilst searching for something to help with a small scar on ds face. I have tried using bio oil but it doesn't help
Has anyone used it? does it work? I don't have much money so to me it is extremely expensive although I will pay out anything if it will work just don't have that amount to waste if its not effective.
If I get some I will also use it on my face as I have large open pores, as a secondary issue has anyone had any success treating pores with it?
Be interested to hear some honest reviews on it
Thanks

Never used it myself, but heard from a few people that it healed up scars quickly.
I had a red angry spot on my neck and dabbed some on from the tester and few hours later it had done down.
You could try contacting the makers for a sample.0 -
You would probably have more success with DMSO gel but it's whether it would work out cheaper after getting the necessary additional substances. It is a solvent which pushes anything in it into the skin. If combined with healing substances it should encourage healing. Regular ointments etc just sit on the skin and don't have that much effect and a scar can go deep into the skin tissues.
You do need to be very careful with DMSO because anything on the skin, enters the skin including bacteria and anything sitting on the skin. Washing the skin and sterilizing it is a good idea. I had an unpleasant reaction to it, like many people seem to do, until I started washing the area and sterilizing it. It's that powerful! It is also used as a cancer treatment to improve chemo effectiveness while using very low doses of chemo. It's not something that the drug companies like because there is no money to be made in it and it would cost them a considerable amount.
Certain oils and essential oils can help the skin to heal. There are oils which are needed for healing and arginine amino acid is also beneficial, they are used in a savlon healing ointment but that is only really meant for new wounds.
There are a number of e.o that are helpful for healing scars, helichrysum is one of them. You don't need much.
Nattokinase & Serrapeptase are thought to also break down fibrin which could help break up scar tissue.0 -
A.Penny.Saved - thanks for the detailed reply DMSO sounds very interesting only ds is 6 so probably not suitable for his age as the area would be hard to keep clean. If he was old enough to keep it clean then I would consider that option. I did try that savlon healing cream but like say I think I left it too late for that to work.
I will contact them and ask for a sample as per donnac2558s suggestion. What shop did you try it in? I haven't seen it in the shops but haven't really looked to be honest.0 -
SpaceNK, it was on a small stand with other different products.0
