How to check Facebook for our name?

I used to click on a thread on here to check facebook for possible wins, but can't find the link now.

Does anyone know how to search facebook for a certain name being mentioned?

This has been discussed quite a lot, so you might also want to try a forum search.

The FB thread that compgirl mentions is really useful, but bear in mind that not all FB comps end up on there.

Also, make sure you are checking your 'Inbox', 'Others', and 'Spam' folders on FB, and notifications are switched on, so you can see when someone tags you in a post. When you have to leave a comment on the post, if you also like that post, you will be notified if the company who owns the page adds any comments to the thread (you don't get notifications, if a company page, for other people's comments, just the company owning the page).
