My son has always had the xbox on line never any problems and a gamer , so at xmass he was brought the PS4 after setting it up he had to phone the support line and was told it was faulty and would be a few weeks to get it replaced ,The person who brought the PS4 got in touch with them and a replacment arrived today ,
After doing it all again my son said the blue light is on so not enought power getting to it so had to phone again this is now the 2nd brand new PS4 not to work again, after going though what the help line tell you to try they are going to send another one out to arrive on monday morning .
my son says if this does not work he wants a refund
He said he is so glad he does not have any problem with his xbox.

Sorry this makes no sense.
The blue light means its on standby in low power mode (or a sleep state) ready for you to press the PS button on the joypad.
What happens when you press the power button on the console? Does it just stay on standby?
Have you sync'd the controller to the PS4 by plugging in the USB cable and pressing the PS button on it?0 -
Has the troubleshotting been done ?
Is that what the helpline went through ?
OP whats the question ?0 -

Flashing blue light is a display problem have you tried changing the hdmi cable check the hdmi port at the back of the ps4 also google ps4 handshake problems.
Also check the hdmi cable is able to push all the way in to the ps4 I dont think the ps4 is fualty
hope you get it sorted soon0 -

It's a solid amber light for standby.
The light should only be blue when powering up, after that it's white. If the light stays blue, or flashes blue then you have an issue you need to speak to Sony about.0 -
