Its tragic reading that someone is happy to get a loan.

Loans are a burden, and should really never be taken out.

Anything other than a home should never be bought on credit, but saved up for.

And we wonder why bankers are rich!!!

You contradict yourself within this post, by first saying that a loan should not be taken out, and then saying that it's OK to take one out for a house.

Loans per se are not a problem, and can make a lot of sense in many cases. Years ago I borrowed to get a motorbike, for example, when I started my first job. It allowed me to not live in Farnborough, which was priceless, and definitely the right decision at the time, even at the 40% APR that I was charged.

Similarly a loan for university can be absoutely teh right decision if it allows someone to start down the career path that they want.

You shoudl not be so abolutist about this. Yes, many people take ut loans when they should not, but that does not mean that all loans are wrong.

    Hi,

I applied for a tesco personal loan of £5K last week, got accepted in principle and sent the forms back a couple of days ago. Does anyone know how long it takes them to make a decision and let you know either way?

    Thanks

how are you getting on? Any news from them yet?
  • still nothing received my end, beginning to think it won't happen now as it has been a week since they were sent back.
  • Just called them and they had transferred the money over today. In my bank account now- perhaps if you give them a call. I was only on the phone waiting for about 2 mins.
I hadn't heard of anything since I sent my signed documents off.
    No news good news?
