Where is my bankruptcy

Hi all,
I'm new to posting on the forum but I've read it many times when needing advice. However, I can't find the answer to the question I have:
I cannot see any bad credit on any of my credit files. Neither Experian or Equifax seem to have any record of my previous bad credit and bankruptcy from 2007 and I am not listed on the insolvency register for either England and Wales or Scotland (I am bankrupt in Scotland). I was discharged two or three years ago (I'm not 100% sure at the moment). Does anybody know whether i am missing anything here? I'd like to get a mortgage but I'm worried that there is some register somewhere that i haven't seen which has all my gory details on it
Thanks,
Haz

Hi
Not sure about the CRA's but you wont be on the IS register as your name will have come off that about 3 mths after AD. Try searching on the London Gazette instead.0 -

Thanks for the reply. I just searched the London Gazette for my name covering the last 13 years and I can't find anything.0 -
If you went BR in Scotland then it would be in the Edinborough Gazette.
The BR and any defAults fall off your credit file 6 years after inception ( I think it is 5 years in Scotland) so as you went BR in '07 there should be no mention of it.
If you want a mortgage then you will find that you will need a very large deposit and may find your interest rate is slightly higher for a while. Also you may be best going to an independent financial advisor rather than your bank. There are several threads on here about getting mortgages post BR.
Please be aware if you are asked if you have ever been BR or insolvent you must say yes or the mortgage company can withdraw their offer when they do their checks and it is shown you lied.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Thank you, Tigerfeet,
I did find the record there and it was just in time to make me think about a credit application. I changed the lender based on what I know about their criteria and I have been provisionally accepted
