Not a comp but wanted to warn you!!!

I have just received an email from Lloyds TSB asking me to update all my account info. Its obviously a complete scam. I don't have an account with them so be on the look out for this email especially if you DO have an account with them.  Wasn't sure where the best place was to post this as I wanted to warn you all!!! :rotfl:

You have just reminded me, I got one from Amazon. People are very likely to fall for this one, as it says there is unusual activity on the account, but when I had a look at the address it came from it was a saudi address. Does anyone know if there is a specific place to report these to?

Yep I get them from *Barclays* and I DO have an account with them.

I also get LOADS of Ebay and Paypal ones.. if you get those forward them to spoof@paypal.co.uk and spoof@ebay.co.uk.. they will check them out and get back to you.

Also don't forget just about everyone you are signed up with will NEVER ask you for your sign in details in an email. (just incase there is anyone who isnt sure)

I use a program called mailwasher - I can bounce spam so they don't know they've found a genuine email address. It does seem to reduce it. Most of the spam I get now is stuff I have signed up to through comping which I just delete without bouncing it back to them.

Also send all spoof mail to spoof@millersmiles.co.uk

Report spoofed e-mails to Amazon.co.uk
• E-mail stop-spoofing@amazon.com and attach the e-mail you suspect is a fake. Sending the e-mail as an attachment is the best way to preserve the header information which makes it easier for us to trace its origins.
• If you can't send the e-mail as an attachment, forward it to stop-spoofing@amazon.com, and include as much of the header information as you can.
Please note: Amazon cannot respond to all e-mails it receives at stop-spoofing@amazon.com. If you have specific questions about your account, please contact us.

Dear NatWest Bank Customer,

Recent email scams have attempted to consume customers...
