I'm liking the idea of using the burgers to make chilli and other stuff, might need to pick up another few packets as they were pretty tasty, I had 2 for my dinner last night  Maybe I should think about getting back on the 5:2 :p :rotfl:

For those wanting to use up some of their puff pasty.... use the burgers to make

    Spicy meat pasties:)

Lightly fry some chopped spring onions, a shallot, a clove of garlic and parsley in olive oil. Once the onions are soft, stir in the mince and add chili powder to your taste. Cook for another ten minutes, or until the mince is thoroughly browned, breaking up any lumps with a wooden spoon. Roll out some puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares. Place some of the mince mixture on one square and cover it with another square, rolling the edges together so they won't come apart while cooking. Repeat the process until you run out of puff pastry or mince mixture. Brush the top of the pies with a beaten egg and bake in the oven on medium heat for 20 minutes, or until golden.

You are making me hungry! I was thinking of using up the rest on a tarte tatin, making some sort of meat wellington and pasteis de nata. :)

Love the sig. by the way!

    Just a thought.
I haven't bought the burgers but if we are talking about approx 1.3kg of steak mince.....just checked and the burgers are 94% beef.....for £4...... Is it worth getting them for Spag bols, chillies and cottages pies.

For anyone who has bought them...does this sound feasible?

This is what I was planning to do if I manage to get some. We don't eat burgers often but spaghetti Bol is another storie

    2 x ASDA Salmon Portion (130g) £4.00 £2.78

    A v T from a womble today2 for £4 sada

I think I must be having a fish day

These were comparing to £1.64 (or something very close to that) a week or so ago (weeks, and months, now pass me by...). And I think they were 150g (and there was no need to buy 2, especially as the mbuy is being picked up:rotfl:!). But T's doubled their price just before I was to have bought them in Mr A, and at that "expensive" £2.78 not worth it in my view. I might go for the 'whole' plaice though, assuming it's still looking good next time I shop (vs T) - don't need to just yet. (My NSDs saving me money:rotfl:.)

I did find on m.com that M have the Sweet Clems 600g back on 2 for £1 (actually, they were £1 bogo"f" last time but that's the same thing). Sadly it seems as soon as I have a 'win' over Mr A, they go and stop stocking the product or change its size. I can see no A Clementines on msm that would compare anymore:(. 2 for £1 is quite expensive, given that Aldi had some 600g ones at 39p for a pack (not now). At the moment, Lidl seems v. expensive for me for fruit - but Aldi have 89ps and 95ps on quite a range of apples and pears packs. Also Broccoli back at 49p. (There was a prominent red offer price label, indicating a reduced price to 89p, on the Braeburn apples pack in my store. But I noticed the Cox apples pack, next to them, appeared to contain up to 1 more apple and was the same price (no 'shouting' offer promo. on them) so I chose them instead:rotfl:.)

I'm losing the thread (again:rotfl::rotfl:), not literally(:rotfl:), so, next post, I'll mention a few Morries offers together, in the one post. Plus I'll go on about vs T for Northern Ireland folks - and everyone else as well.
