Unfortunately, I'm more likely than not to be the person blocking the road up, despite being the one who probably cares far more about others than people generally do (and by that I mean I don't give false expressions of caring when in fact I don't - I may not say sorry on every occasion but, when, I do, it is totally genuine).
Ambulances - and especially sudden flashing lights/sirens - some people with autism (sorry if I'm bringing in a subject again and if it's off the point and long-winded, boring etc.) have sensory problems.
I don't really have sensory problems - there's only a couple of areas that I've identified where I might. (For example, I can cope in a busy supermarket, with tannoys on and new, unfamiliar stores etc.) I suppose a sudden ambulance-siren for example would be startling to most people and not just those on the autism spectrum.
I had an ambulance on one of my driving lessons once (many many years ago) and, oh, did it really really throw me. It gets me quickly to try and get out of its way as soon as I can. And - quick - move! So, yes, I'm certainly alert to ambulances and wouldn't be blocking roads (though I'd sooner drive onto the pavement/into a bush than through a red light). Ambulances etc. are, on occasions (or even more than that), perhaps "the unexpected".
The rule for the roads is prepare for the unexpected I think!

The world is full of people throwing stones at us. Its what you do with them that counts. Build a wall or build a bridge.0 -
I have just rejoined, no sign of any vouchers however :-(
There is a £20 voucher for Argos (it says 1 per household only) http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/fun/competitions/promotions/article5380068.ece?CMP=KNB-Argso_Brand_Broad-msix-Argso_Brand_Broad_PPC-the_sun_argos_voucher&pc=DigAcq1#utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=_&utm_campaign=_
Don't worry if you haven't received any vouchers yet as they say 28 days. Some Sun+ employees are saying that's 28 WORKING days + postal times - so allow 7weeks. I think just about everyone got them eventually.
Anyone on cookies PLEASE- damned if I can find any cookies on this Windows 8.1. It was SO easy to remove persistent ones on XP - why have they hidden the damned things so well on 8.1? Goodness help us all if you get annoying malware ones!0 -
Spreadsheet maths:
2x Coke £2.50
Assumed price £3.96
Compare price price £2.50
Difference between assumed and compared: £1.46
+10% APG = £1.71
Final price = 79p (or 39.5p per bottle)
Saving £3.17 from full price
or £1.71 from sale price0 -

Yeah, and I think you have to get the 3 for £10 for it to work but I don't know if anyone has tried otherwise.0 -
