SS tills completely risk free- follow this.

1.Spend minimum of £25 befor multibuys- 2 £10 meal deals should do it.

    2. Scan all your items

    3. Do not press pay and finish at this stage but instead scan your two vouchers one at a time and insert in slot.

    4. It will look odd as money to pay does not drop immediately

5 Press pay and finish and amount owing on two £10 meal deals will drop to £10

    :D:D:D

Thanks so much for this , will give it a try tomorrow and report back any findings :j

Do you think I would get away with using 3 vouchers! I woke up in sweat this morning thinking about this!

I have to sing the praises of the my fitness plus ap again.

I've just realised it has a barcode reader so instead of doing a search for a food item you just snap the barcode and then add the item. I am thinking that because they have such a huge database now it would probably recognise Some European barcodes and def US ones, useful for when you are on hols.
It also has a recipe section so you can add your usual ones and its then saved for whenever you do that one again.
And also your fav meals one eg my breakfast today is going to be the same as yesterday's so I can do a quick add - very easy.
Yesterday I even added my vitamins and their database recognised them as well :)
I hate to put a bad thought in anyone's head but out of curiosity I put McDonalds in the search box and it gave me the entire menu list with the uk ones marked - not that I am thinking of going there but saying its on their list!

I haven't heard of MyFitness Plus - is it different to My Fitness Pal? TIA

Back to work n lurk now lol
  • Absolutely no malice intended in my post last night and if anyone, especially Scamps took offence, I apologise.

After all that has happened to Scamps I think I am just finding it hard to understand how any human being can be so cruel to another, especially someone they have lived with and loved for 12 years.

If you have rich parents and they are the ones causing you to split from your husband, why go back with an army and nick the tv, a load of ornaments, a stash that was never anything to do with you and even the fuel keys? On top of already cleaning out the joint savings account of £15000!!

Really, what is the world coming to? I dread to think what she might have done if she was really peed off!

  • Good morning everyone.

If anyone is still after the Viners cutlery it is still working this morning. Have not tried checking out though, not impressed at the comments about rust etc, and we really do not need more cutlery (unless someone finds a quality set worth £300 or so for £5 :D)

So sorry about your story scamps, it is a little familiar.

When my father met my step-mother she was sweetness and light. I was pleased for him. I was even a "bridesmaid" at their wedding. He daughter had a daughter and she was delighted. Then I had a son. The sniping started, every little criticism she could make when we were around and my father was not she made. Came to the conclusion she did not want my father to see his grandson .

Anyway, we were round my step-brother's one evening and they were begging us to stay repeatedly so we stayed quite late. Got back to my father's and they exploded and said they would now have to "go round and sort out their marriage" tomorrow  Sorting it out ended up with them divorcing, along with her other two kids, none of them managed to hold down a relationship because she sorted them out.

We had an opportunity (unfortunately failed as bad timing) and my father invested in it for us. We paid it back bit by bit, even at the cost of some of our mortgage payments. They came round to get a piece of paper off us to state it was an investment, which I gave them, but she decided that she wanted one saying it had been borrowed so she could sue us for the money. She also asked us to sell the house to pay them back. She was very nasty and insulting, accused my husband of cowardice for not being there (even though we had told them in advance that he could not be there as there was an urgent job on that night) and basically did everything she could to try to split us up, as she had been trying for a while. My father's answer - her kids needed the money and she had to put them first! I was dumbfounded, he had never put his kids first, always his parents, but this was taking it too far and I threw them out.

I have spoken to him by phone and email since then, but he has never again been in my house. I also found out she was still sniping about me, last time I spoke to my father on the phone (a long time ago) he told me she said I did not need to wear my glasses all the time. Very petty and totally untrue, I asked what made her say that, he said she was medically qualified (a dental nurse!!!) and knew better than I did

She died a couple of years ago, and I was actually relieved.

Unfortunately it turns out that she totally destroyed any relationship I had ever had with my father (he never listened to me anyway, I told him I was going to have my ears pierced when I was 21, even got what I thought was his permission, turned out he didn't hear a word I said and gave me a right telling off when I got back with my ears pierced and totally denied I had told him. That is just one example)

We are strangers now. We talk on FB and that is the limit, apparently he can't forgive me for how I treated my step-mother! I guess ignorance is bliss so I can't tell him what went on behind his back, but he saw how she treated us, how she said I should leave my OH because of his "cowardice" in not being there for the meeting, and a lot of things I would never put on this forum.

She took away my father, and enjoyed it. She destroyed her kids' relationships and would have destroyed mine and those of my brothers if we had lived near them (yes my brothers have similar stories).

Some people are so unhappy they cannot bear to see other people happy.

Sorry about the essay folks :)
