Time to renew car insurance :(and even though I must be very low risk regarding car, age, history, usage etc can't find a good quote, even with cashback my renewal from Saga is the cheapest.
I want Protected, Legal and Hire Car.

But can't get a new online quote from Saga, as I apparently am not eligible due to some information I provided  Funny as it's the same info they sent me in the post.

Have you tried LV - LiverpoolVictoria? OH has just had a great quote from them

    :(

Bitterly cold night last night so we made a cosy bed for the neighbour's cat that is out 24/7 & so is the neighbour
I can't bear to know she is out there in this cold weather so ...

Trouble is now that we have made this bed she hasn't left it

    To me she is Bindi

Aww, bless you well done for making her a warm place to sleep. I really feel for all the poor animals out in the cold. I dont know why some people have animals if they dont bother to care for them. Heartbreaking x

For anyone who has feral or cold out door cats living near them, there are some good ideas for building simple little shelters here: http://www.indyferal.org/index.php?page=shelters

I like the polystyrene ideas... looks snug! ;)

    Store specific prices

I bought spiderman blu ray for £2.25 on friday, yesterday it was £8 in 3 stores including the one I bought it at.
Pyramid kettles were full price in 3 stores.
A few other things posted on hukd were full price.

Saw a speaker that was £1 , but I scanned it in the morning and it was £16. Went back in the evening and the sa at the electrical desk said they were £1 but when he scanned it it had gone back up to £16.

    I did get

    Turtle Beach PX3 headphones £10
    Tritton AX180 headphones £10
    Touro 1tb hardrive £2.50
    Ex display Epson XP102 £2.50

And lots of toys that have probably been mentioned already

Call of Trouty I could hug you! I only posted last night that my son had asked for a new gaming headset as his had packed up and when I saw your post this morning I called the stock check number on the first page and found some in a store about 30 min drive away, wizzed over there and managed to pick some up. He is over the moon.

I've not been feeling well for quite some time and feel rather emotional, but I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributes to this thread. Even if I don't comment much, the banter, choons, pics make me laugh and the respect and kindness everyone has for each other is outstanding. For the first time I can remember all important family members got really great presents that did not cost me the earth and I am almost done for this years birthdays. Thanks you all

I've already got my 4 Merlin passes and holiday booked for this year and also got ds2 iPad mini with points- thanks squills:T:T

Not as many opportunities with the online 3v gift cards now :(.

However, I see that you can get highstreetgiftcards with them .. So £50 gets 150 CC bonus - you can then get A gift cards for your normal shop/glitch shopping :).

Would anyone please be so nice as to tell me if the buying 12 jars of the same baby food still confuses asda system and it only compares 10? I have been missing from all this since the beginning of December but really need to get back into the swing of things, I would be very grateful x

Yes Emma, APG can only compare 10 of each individual item.

Loads of good comparisons for baby food at Sains -

eg 12 (must all be same flavour, or 11 + 1 different) of these would cost £6 in A's and add £4 to APG, so 12 for £2.

Maybe use a few chocolate bars as weights, then you've got some midnight snacks to hand, too:T

That soooo brings back memories. Went to the Isle of Wight when I was 11 (with school). We were in a big dorm and everyone was going to have midnight snacks. My best friend decided to hide chocolate under her mattress for it. But she hid it under her sheet. We spent a good hour scraping melted chocolate off the mattress, dread to think what the people running the place thought when we left :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oooo no more choc bars for me. Back to SW on 23rd, and it won't be good news:eek: My willpower deserted me over Christmas. All the glitchy chocs kept calling to me from the wardrobe, the wine positively screamed at me from the garage, particularly the Prosecco, and shamefully I succumbed:eek:
