They always had a reputation for miserabilism, but I never saw it myself
    "And in the darkened underpass
I thought Oh God, my chance has come at last
But then a strange fear gripped me
    And I just couldn't ask"
is just simply joyous wordplay to me:)

Let's go with How Soon Is Now (great guitar from Johnny Marr!)

I was born in the 50s.

Like I'm sure everybody else, I remember the pre-birth arrangements when we had to decide how we'd get born.

I'm glad I pressed the button to select Human but I realise if I'd pulled the lever more I could have picked a later decade and I'd be much younger now!

    What was I thinking! :wall:

    Anyhoo

Too many years ago that I care to remember, I used to live a few doors away from Marc Almond - in fact, he must've looked after my coat a few times when he worked in the cloakroom at the Phono in Leeds:)
