    - updated as of 18:00 / 11.1.14
    - rearranged into alphabetical order
    - 51 stores to date (around 12% of national total, well done everyone)
    - also adding 'Delicious New You' £5 off £25 Jan spend leaflet availablity and date checked, where it's been reported
    - if anyone wants to add to it, if you can put 'M&S SS tills' in the message title (like I've done for this one), and highlight your additions in bold/different colour, it's easier to search for the messages, update the list, and re-post it at regular-ish intervals
    - thanks to all who've contributed (remind me if if I've missed your store off the list), and to vanilla twist & calmspirit for the original idea

I bought a sim in ASDA last night. I have put it in my phone which is unlocked, it would seem that i need to activate the sim but i can only do this by putting a minimum of £10 credit on it which i obviously do not want to do!

Does any one have any ideas on how to get a sim that is already activated?

    Thanks
Don't know if you are around.... But

Mine came today, I've just put the SIM card in, downloaded app, typed in the sim number, which then prompted an text with a code, I typed in the code and the app is working... I've not put credit on:)

Applies to most but not all people....

Legibility also depends on the letter-shapes and the typeface used.
For example, you (by 'you' I mean people in general) find it easier to read the top half of a line of type, but not the bottom. Try it. Find a line of type, in fairly large letters, and cover up the bottom half with a ruler - and see if you can read it; usually you can read whole words if not the whole thing. Then cover up the top half ... now it's unreadable!
It's the same with the right-hand part of each letter (easier to 'read') and the left side. But that's not as easy to try out for yourself.
You can also try it here
    http://www.tomontheweb2.ca/CMX/4D5E2/
if you scroll down to the section Understanding Letters there's a couple of good examples to play around with.

It's to do with how the eye moves across the page when you're reading. You don't read straight from left to right, even if you think you do! Your eyes jump forwards-forwards-back a bit-forwards-back-forwards-forwards etc etc

    Wow....that was a good read,

    Good evening everyone
  • Evening all

Hope you have all had productive days.

I went into town this afternoon, not something I often do but was on a mission.
Debenhams let me down in a big way. Terrible slae. Was looking for bikini. Shelfe labels said more online, well there wasn't last night:mad:
Picked up cotton jumpsiut in sale but don't think I will keep it. Fun and games in mr A trying to get bespoke vouchers to scan on ss. Gave up in the end and nice man at cs has put them all on a plastic gift card.

Trip to mr T. Only cheap dvd/blue ray was Tangled at £2.50 but didn't bother. Did buy some 16p chocs and gillette anti perspirant was £1 in reduced corner so picked up a few to start ds1s stash for next birthday. Also got ladies lynx set for £3. Not major cheap but dd likes this.

Got to mums and we found debenhams had put their swimwear online today so new bikini winging its way to me with 10% off and quidco.

Lady on ss at mr t said they had not had any reduced dvds go through tills which made me feel a bit better.

Thank you to the 2 angels for my post. Also got my change for life pack and a random car freshener from sun perks. My travel card arrived as well very prompt as ordered thursday tea time. I find it best to spread my spending money between a couple of cards and cash as last time i was in eygpt it took my bank 4 days to unblock my atm card. Apparently it is the one country they put an automatic block on. Have told them I will be there but best to have another card to transfer funds to if they get it wrong again.

Off to catch up with the thread.

Has anyone seen scamps about or heard from him?

I had a couple of Facebook messages from him, we are supposed to try and meet up this weekend so I can pass some stuff on to him but it's a bit difficult when I don't have the car for most of the weekend

He was a bit low yesterday but hopefully he's feeling a bit more tip top today. I'll message him and see how he's doing :)

I am wondering wether its worth buying the 3 for £6 meal deals instead and if so how many to get close to £25?
I am still objecting to buying wine - working through my stash of tesco double discount - would rather buy a few healthy meals especially need some vegetarian versions.

A couple of examples in the 3 for £6 meal deal

    Chilli and rice £2.59
    Beef and onion pasties. £2.49

You might be struggling to make 3 of these meals up to £25

In the freezer section there are loads of 3 for 2 deals but I didn't take a lot of notice as I haven't any space..
There are also lots of opportunities for tinned stuff on. 3 for. 2 as well.

I'm going for the soups as they are really nice and my batters/ Campbell's stash is running low.

There are some soups at 99p in the desk and some at 85p:)
