Thanks Savvy but I thought I was starting it!!
I'll have to start the next one !!;)
Evening All!:D
Oh, I didn't know!
I was going to say Aau you can start the next thread. But now my view it is should be locarr, then Aau1..., anyone want to reserve the thread for next June?:rotfl:
Amazing (well, to be honest, it's not really:rotfl:) how things trigger off other memories - I was looking in the freezer earlier (for food for that nearly burnt tea for tonight:rofl:) and also saw some Quorn product near the back - reminded me that Quorn Mince 500g is on £1.49 "for" Mr M! Also some Richmond sausages at cheaper than usual lower-end price - £1.60 odd rather than £1.75. You can check m.co.uk for the actual price/product, as I certainly can't at the moment! :rotfl:Banished offline again. Still much more expensive than lowest priced sausages (66p on the 'savers' one, and even that an increase compared to the price of 56p all round months ago).
I think I got bored:eek: of memorising prices with complete accuracy, as the prices are there on m.co.uk I suspect to fall back on. It'll fill in some gaps later - if I am ever able to get onto the website again! But the 5 pack bakery doughnuts are on '2 for £1' for M. Saw one (short-dated) at 45p (yes, it was too early in the evening) - of course marked 68p crossed out and down to 45p:rotfl: but that's same price per pack (I hope) as Avs M in 2s. Vimto Fizzy 2L back down to 'normal' offer price now - 84p as opposed to the 67p of two or three years ago. That (84p) is now, what appears to be, the price it will, when it goes onto offer, normally be at (rather than it being the case of it being normally on offer).
Nivea 25 wipes are off - and I think it's Garnier 25 and Johnson 25 now at £1.49 for either.
The Old El Paso were £2 each a couple of checks ago. They are now 'any 2 for £4', which of course I'm having no truck with as it's same price as the £2 but now having to buy at least two in order to get that price. The individual price of course is now £3.22. So - if you (well, not you, but a 'normal' shopper instore, this week, saw £3.22 and 2 for £4, what would you now do? Buy 2 of course and think "Wow! That's a great saving!" when in fact they were £2 for one a few weeks ago.
I now think the offers - different ones that we see different weeks on - are aimed at different types of customers. There's those that go for multibuys - so '2 for £3' is a great deal for them. There's the ones that go for 2 for £3 deals. Personally I prefer the previous prices of straight £1s to those. And, of course, even when a multibuy is on, amazingly (or maybe not) so many people still buy one and pay much higher price for that. So they may now be paying £1.75 for an item currently on 2 for £3 that, previously, cost £1. They're (the supermarkets) obviously rotating different offers on products over different weeks and it's all based on psychology and marketing research as to how consumers behave. It's very scientific - and you will find the effect that a particular price set-up has compared to other pricing.
Anyway... I'm also not having £1.85 "Buy one get one free" (no quotes around "free" as it's their description) on some Dolmio 454gs. As I recall it, these were £1.85 for b1g2"f" a week ago - so it's now £1.85 for getting only two as opposed to the same price for three jars the previous week. Ridiculous expense for a jar now.
The other item (non-comparable from elsewhere) I haven't mentioned it before, and not mentioning it now. Suffice to say it's on a multibuy offer in M at present, one that I am not happy about the price of. So, I'm ignoring the current offer and willing it to expire. Bring on those "ends this Sunday" please! I, for one, will be happy if that appears and will be only too happy to relax back and not rush at all - hopefully it will be replaced by a far better offer later on! It's certainly been lower priced before (when buying only one) and, even on the effective price (when divided and taking up the current multibuy), it's still more expensive than the individual price was some months before when I last bought this item.
McCartney Veg Sausages still on £1. It is Harpic Power Plus on 93p. Yazoo milkshakes (472/475ml) still 50p each (the same as T will soon be). And... I was right, it is the individual Crosse & Blackwell soups (those that M have) that are now on 50p each in M and therefore should be the ones bought in A rather than the effective more expensive 50p Heinz ones. Alternatively, the 4 pack Heinz soups, the Chicken 4 pack or the Vegetable 4 pack (M £2.00) but, importantly, *not* the Tomato 4 pack (M £3.39 on that!). But, Crosse & Blackwell 4 packs have a low of £1.49 (not currently though!) and SP/Value soups are 24p each, so the 50p less 10% is still not savvy! That said, the 'fact' (or not!) that I am a "Savvybuyer", or "Savvybuyer", does not exclude the possibility that I might also be a non-Savvy buyer (at least at some times!). It will make me happy if nothing else to carry a Crosse & Blackwell soup and a Yazoo milkshake through Mr A's!:rotfl:
For those who can't bear to wait (including me!), those 'nasty' 50p offers on the Pot Noodles, and presumably the 'wrong' (i.e. Heinz) individual soups, and the 'wrong' milkshakes (i.e. the Frijj ones) - the general public is just plain wrong - the 50p offer is due to end on 23/1/14 (according to the Mr A magazine). Not a moment too soon.
It's the Shape 0% yogs (4pk) on 75p for M. Cheese Feast Pizzas on 2 for £3 (may be useful for Tvs M?). Kiwi 6 packs on £1 "bogo'f'" mix and match for M but not sure what the mix and match is with? Hall's Haggis still £1.50. Sorry I forgot about Spam Fritters last week at £1.50 (now up in price, but I'm sure they'll come back around sooner and later). I'm sure I'll recall more in a moment (from a jumbled-up order as used a different store). I'll move an amended M list onto here (post no. 2) soon (might be tomorrow night the way this internet is going).0 -

It was harder earlier today, I sort of got through the hunger round about 5ish, went to Ts for whoopsies earlier and was kindly provided with a 283 calorie Sushi selection for 83p which I love and I don't feel at all hungry now. :T
I have bought lots of finest toasting muffins that are calling me to smother them in butter for breakfast.Got some Belgian buns too but I will be good.
Smothered in Dairylea -seriously don't mock it till you've tried it. Spread the cheese when the muffins have cooled down a little.:D0 -
